When diesel generator sets operate under special climate and environmental conditions, they will be affected by many factors such as temperature, humidity, altitude, and dust. In severe cases, they may even fail to operate normally.

1. High temperature environment

In a high temperature environment, the heat dissipation of the generator decreases and the unit is prone to overheating. Ventilation of the machine room should be strengthened, cooling equipment should be added if necessary, and the load should be appropriately reduced.

2. Low temperature environment

In a low temperature environment, diesel wax crystallizes and oil viscosity increases, making it difficult to start the unit. Low-grade diesel and winter-specific engine oil should be used, and preheating devices should be equipped.

3. High altitude areas

As altitude rises, the air becomes thinner, engine intake air decreases, and power drops. Power correction should be applied to the unit, and models suitable for plateau operation should be selected.

4. Dusty environment

Dust will clog filters and wear parts. The maintenance cycle of filters should be shortened and air filtration should be strengthened.
